Meet Dr Caron Forde

Dr Caron Forde completed her undergraduate training at Flinders University in Adelaide. Encouraged to study areas of personal interest; Dr Forde became involved in the IVF unit. This experience led Dr Forde to develop her career in obstetrics and gynaecology.

After completing the Australian postgraduate qualification for Obstetrics and Gynaecology – F.R.A.C.O.G, Dr Forde worked overseas in Ireland and England, and then completed the English postgraduate qualification for Obstetrics and Gynaecology – F.R.C.O.G. On returning to Australia, Dr Forde settled in Brisbane working in both private and public practice.

Dr Forde is currently the Director of Gynaecology at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, plus she is an Examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as the Australian Medical Council.

As part of her public work Dr Forde spent 15 years as Gynaecologist at the Aboriginal health clinic in Woolloongabba and more recently 2 years at Galangoor Duwulami in Hervey Bay.

Her current private practice incorporates the full range of gynaecological practice including minimal invasive and complex laparoscopic surgery, laser surgery, complex pelvic floor surgery, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome and infertility.
